Horticultural Lighting

    

The lighting units that we have available are used extensively in the horticultural industry.  Lighting predominantly comes as two types:

Type 1: High Pressure Sodium (HPS)

This type of light is typically used for crops which are being developed for foliage and flower production.  They have a wide spectrum of light and can assist in creating enhanced high quality and earlier yields.

Type 2: Metal Halide

This type of light is typically used where only vegetative growth of the crop is to be considered, such as supplemental lighting for foliage crops, seedling lighting and similar foliage crops.

Horticultural Heating and Cooling

      
  
It has been well demonstrated that in providing heated water to plant roots in winter, the grower benefits by greater return on yields.  Conversely in summer, reducing the temperature of the water, allows the water to contain high quantities of O2.  This enables the plant to take up the O2 which is imperative for growth.  We have heating and chilling solutions for both hobby and commercial growers.

It is essential for the commercial grower that yields be maintained throughout the year.  Temperature fluctuations can have a large impact on plant quality and crop yields.  To combat fluctuations in temperatures, or growing in cooler, or warmer climates, we offer a range of  heating and or chilling pumps suitable for commerical horticultural operations.
